An affecting, honestly told tale of Daniel, a petty thief in New York doing community service, who forms an unexpected connection with Boone, an apparent orphan boy. When Boone is placed in foster care, Daniel’s quixotic bid to rescue him results in a kidnapping and cross-country drive to Dallas to find Boone’s sister.
